To configure Apple Mail to work with a 3000K-provided email account, follow these steps.
1. Open Mail.
2. Select the "Mail" menu and choose Preferences.
3. Click on the plus sign in the lower left-hand corner of the window. This will create a new account.
4. At the "Account Type" pull-down menu, choose POP.
5. In "Description," enter text that describes this email account.
6. In the "Email Address" field, enter the email address provided to you by 3000K.
7. Enter your name in the "Full Name" field.
8. In "Incoming Mail Server" type mail.yourdomain. (for example, mail.yahoo.com or mail.whitehouse.gov).
9. In "Username," enter the username for the email account given to you by 3000K. This name is the part of your email address prior to the @ sign. So, if your address is bob@3000K, bob is your username.
10. In "Password," enter the password supplied to you by 3000K in the password field.
11. In the "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)" box, enter relay.yourdomain (for example, relay.3000k.com or relay.yahoo.com).
12. Close your the window, being sure to save settings if the program asks.
Now you're ready to start receiving email at your new 3000K-provided email address!
